How we Connect Safety Culture with Simpro to help ABBA operations

Client: ABBA Engineering

ABBA Engineering is a leading Australian provider of mechanical, structural, and fabrication services, known for supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects. With a reputation for precision and reliability, ABBA runs a large and diverse fleet of plant and equipment across complex job sites.

Problem

ABBA Engineering needed a more advanced asset management system to work seamlessly with Simpro. Their goal was to achieve precise tracking of fleet assets, determine asset-level profitability, and identify which equipment was generating value and which was not. Despite using Simpro to its full extent, they lacked custom dashboards and real-time visibility, which made it difficult to support their next phase of growth.

Approach

Rather than introducing an entirely new platform—which would have disrupted operations—we focused on maximizing their current systems. By enhancing and customizing the existing setup, we were able to deliver the functionality they needed without the cost and complexity of a full system replacement.

Technology

We used a combination of:

  • Simpro (for operational management)

  • SafetyCulture (for form tracking and compliance)

  • Aloka Integration Platform (to sync systems and data)

  • Aloka Data Warehouse & Analytics (to consolidate and visualize business data)

This ecosystem enabled seamless integration across all platforms, giving stakeholders a clear and actionable view of their operations.

Solution

After testing various tools and workflows, we selected SafetyCulture for its strong compatibility with Simpro. We synced forms, assets, jobs, plant, and equipment across systems—creating a unified asset and compliance framework. The user experience (UX) and backend accessibility were central to our design. Our integrations ensured minimal training needs, fast adoption, and high data accuracy.

Outcome

The result was a comprehensive asset management, compliance, and manufacturing system tailored to ABBA’s operations. The platform was user-friendly, offered real-time tracking, and supported data-driven decision-making. It allowed ABBA to:

  • Identify underperforming assets

  • Optimize fleet usage and maintenance

  • Ensure compliance across projects

  • Support scalable growth with accurate, centralized data

This project empowered ABBA Engineering with the visibility and control they needed to scale with confidence.
